Courageous reporting by Time magazine has exposed that account as a lie. Most of the dead were killed in their homes; most and maybe all were unarmed; and they may have been killed in cold blood, not in the heat of battle. Only after Time gave the army its findings did the Pentagon launch an investigation of its own.»
